f(n) Architects where appointed to extend and remodel a Grade II listed C18th cottage at the heart of a village in Dorset. The existing structure consisted of traditional cobb and thatch construction that had received generations of alterations over it’s 300+ year lifespan. The brief was to provide modern and accessible living accommodation while conserving the historically important fabric of the building. Working closely with the listed building officer and the client, an sensitive design was resolved and received planning permission in Summer 2021.
